Hello,

Does anyone know some recent articles about the subject of traffic
tracking from helicopter images (i.e., moving platform)?

Does anyone any open source software that is available in this area?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Regards, Gjenna Stippel

SPIE would have papers. The class of algorithms is called
"autotracking", "video tracking" or "video autotracking". Were I going
to do a web search I'd start with those terms.

Major autotracker manufactures are Octec, British Aerospace, and (if
they're still around) DBE (I think). Reading their web pages on
autotrackers may give you the 'situational awareness' that you'd need to
find what you're looking for on the web.

They do this for car races in the US, so this information has to have
gotten out of the military sector and into the civilian -- I just don't
know where to tell you to look for that.
